The Dental Hygienist would be responsible to provide direct patient care including dental prophylaxis, examinations, topical fluoride applications, dental sealants, scaling and root planting (as well as other patient services as permitted under state law). Qualified applicants should enjoy working with patients of all ages and life situations. The Dental Assistant would be responsible to assists providers chair-side utilizing the principles of four-handed dentistry. Other duties of the Dental Assistant include:
- Seating and dismissing patients
- Cleaning operatory and dental laboratory areas with disinfectants
- Maintaining dental equipment according to manufacturers ’ recommendations
- Cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments
- Exposing and developing radiographs.
- Helping to maintain an inventory of dental supplies
- Pouring dental models and performing other laboratory duties as assigned
- Assisting in the performance of clerical duties such as answering the phone and making appointments

Medical Records Clerk |

Neighborhood Health Center (formally Northwest Buffalo Community Health Care Center) is currently recruiting for a Full Time Medical Records Clerk. The Medical Records Clerk contributes to the organizational view of supporting Health Center providers’ ability to care for patients professionally and efficiently as well as support of fellow coworkers. Our busy medical and dental clinic requires a medical records clerk to perform the following functions:
- Responsible for retrieving computer generated requests, pulling charts and delivering them to the appropriate requestor
- Responsible for the filing of all labs and reports in the appropriate section in the charts
- Files medical records within the alphabetized filing system
- Previous visits are to be reviewed and any labs, reports, Pre-operative reports, test results must be in the patients chart at the time of appointment
- Flag all abnormal labs for department
- Flag charts with notes advising staff what labs are needed to be completed, and if the patient has not completed a social work or nutrition visit
- Call other health care centers to obtain necessary records and reports for the clinical staff
- Shared conjunction with all medical records personnel and staff will maintain daily operating functions of the medical records department to include, but not limited to, answering the phones and attend to the medical records needs of the Health Center staff, patients and outside agencies
- Responsible for all department faxes and correspondence mailings.
- Performs other duties as necessary for overall operation of Neighborhood Health Center
